# WHO IS GOOSE?

On July 14th, 2022, Bored Ape Solana Club (BASC) made a pivotal move in securing the foundation of our community’s IP rights and the future of our Solana-based derivative collection. With community royalties, we acquired Goose, a Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT (#6748), for 98.423373 ETH. This strategic purchase ensured that BASC had proper IP extension rights by owning an official BAYC NFT, which is key to the legitimacy and growth of the project.

Upon arrival, his friends were transformed into Bored Ape Solana Club (BASC) NFTs, embodying the spirit of the island and its elemental powers.
